Direction-Outcome Correspondences

A change in direction can produce a change in outcome. We can see this very easily in physical movement. If you are moving in one direction and change your course, you will eventually arrive somewhere different. Obvious. But does this principle exist only in physical movement? What happens when we look at it through the mental and emotional dimensions? Perhaps the same Universal Principle can manifest itself differently in all three. Changing direction changes where movement can lead. This is a simple principle, but its manifestations can be surprisingly diverse.

The Physical Dimension

Imagine walking in a straight line. If you change your direction by only a few degrees, the immediate difference may be almost impossible to notice. You are still moving forward. Your speed may remain the same. Your effort may remain the same. But continue moving. The difference gradually becomes greater. After a certain distance, you are no longer where you would have been if you had continued in the original direction. A small change in direction has produced a different trajectory. This is the physical manifestation of the principle. You did not necessarily need more force. You did not necessarily need greater speed. You changed the direction of your movement.

The Mental Dimension

Now consider the same principle in the mental dimension.Imagine that you are trying to solve a problem. You may spend a long time thinking about it from the same perspective, repeatedly looking for an answer. Then you change the direction of your thinking.

Instead of asking: “How can I solve this problem?” you ask:“What am I assuming about this problem?”

Or instead of asking: “Why can't I achieve this?” you ask:“What would make this possible?”

The problem itself has not necessarily changed. But the direction of your thinking has. And because your thinking has moved in a different direction, you may discover possibilities that were not visible from the previous direction. This is a mental manifestation of the same Universal Principle.

The Emotional Dimension

The principle can also manifest itself emotionally. Imagine that something happens that makes you angry. Your initial emotional movement may be toward confrontation.

You could immediately react, accuse, attack, or defend yourself. But there may be another possibility. You notice the emotion. You pause. You change the direction of your response. Instead of allowing anger to determine your next action, you might move toward curiosity:

“Why did this affect me so strongly?”

The situation itself has not changed. The emotion has not necessarily disappeared. But the direction in which you allow that emotional energy to develop has changed. And therefore, a different outcome becomes possible. This is an emotional manifestation of the same principle.

Correspondence Between the Three Dimensions

The physical, mental, and emotional manifestations are obviously not the same thing. Changing the direction of your body is not the same as changing the direction of your thoughts.Changing the direction of your thoughts is not the same as changing the direction of an emotion. Yet there can be a correspondence between them. The same underlying relationship can appear in different forms.

  • In the physical dimension: Change direction → change trajectory.
  • In the mental dimension: Change direction of thought → change possibilities of thought.
  • In the emotional dimension: Change direction of emotional response → change possibilities of response.

The manifestations are different because the dimensions are different. The correspondence lies in the underlying principle.

Why Correspondence Matters

The purpose is not to pretend that physical, mental, and emotional experiences are identical. They aren't. Instead, we can observe how a Universal Principle can manifest differently in each dimension. The physical manifestation may make the principle easier to see. Once recognised, we can look for its correspondence in the mental and emotional dimensions. This gives us another way of understanding situations. A principle that we first encounter through physical movement may reveal something about how we think or respond emotionally.Likewise, something we discover mentally may have a corresponding manifestation in physical movement. The dimensions are different, but they can be connected through Universal Principles.

Different Manifestations, Different Solutions

This also explains why Percomboo does not need to provide one fixed solution for everyone.

If the principle is: Changing direction changes where movement can lead, the principle does not tell you exactly which direction you must choose. That depends on the situation. And it depends on the individual. One person may need to move forward.Another may need to step back. One person may need to change their method. Another may need to change their perspective. One person may need to express an emotion. Another may need to stop reacting to it. The Universal Principle remains the same. Its manifestation changes according to the dimension. Its application changes according to the situation. And the solution can change according to the individual.

From Principle to Individual Style

This is where Universal Principles and individual style meet. A Universal Principle does not necessarily prescribe a particular style. It provides an underlying relationship that can be explored. The individual decides how to express or apply it. This means that two people can understand the same principle and arrive at completely different solutions.

They don't necessarily have to move in the same way. They don't necessarily have to think in the same way. They don't necessarily have to respond emotionally in the same way.

Their individual solutions can be different while their actions still correspond to the same Universal PrincipleThat is an important part of individuality in Percomboo.

The Percomboo Perspective

We can therefore look at the principle like this:

  • Universal PrincipleDirection determines the outcome
  • Physical manifestation: Change direction change trajectory
  • Mental manifestation: Change direction of thought change possibilities
  • Emotional manifestation: Change direction of response → change possibilities
  • Individual solution The three manifestations are not copies of one another.

They are corresponding manifestations of the same underlying principle in three different dimensions. And this is the point.Percomboo is not about finding one correct movement, one correct thought, or one correct emotional response. It is about recognising Universal Principles, observing their different manifestations, and exploring how they can be applied individually.

A Universal Principle can be the same. Its manifestations can be different. Its correspondence can connect the three dimensions. And the solution can still be uniquely yours.

Different Universal Principles.

Different manifestations.

Correspondence between dimensions.

Individual solutions.
